Description

Medium yellow head, fast gone, over fully hazy amber-ochre beer. Almondy nose, cheap alcohol, bit cheesy, bubble gum. Soft-almondy flavour, both bitterish and sweet, marzipan. Light to medium bodied, but very slick. Sweet, spiced but generally unremarkable beer.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of spices, citrus, and acorn. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of spices, especially cardemomme, but also notes of acorn, leading to a spicy finish. Thanks fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing.

(Bottle 30 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Clear pale golden with a nice white head. Interestingly spicy and somewhat perfumy nose. Medium body, sweetish, fruity and perfumy - but not in an unpleasant cloying way. Dry and lightly bitter finish. Quite interesting. 031008

Bottle, 7.2%. Strangely sour ginger aroma. Muddy dark brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is very malty, but overshadowed by a distinct citrus note, perhaps a little ginger. Very late (and surprising) roasted aftertaste. Strange, and a bit dodgy, but interesting and not bad. Some alcohol nose in the finish.

Bottle at Kent BF 08. Hazy gold, lasting white head. Slight yeast, golden syrup aroma. A decent strong golden beer, really creamy and full. Alcohol is a little syrupy. Fairly uncultured.
