Description
After a great reception from his hobby as an enthusiastic amateur brewer, Toby Mackenzie and his wife Caroline decided to expand and go full time establishing the award winning Red Willow brewery in 2010. Their aim was to make the types of beer that they like - full of flavour yet easy to drink. Red Willow now offer a range of beers that can be found in many local pubs and shops in cask

Panda thanks to Cloin. Just a mild haze on this gold beer, small white head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth light malts, fairly sweet. Soft pine into some fairly obvious Sabro but, not as punchy as you might hope for. A little pineapple cubes. Light semi dry finish. Pleasant enough.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Clear deep gold beer, small bubbly off white that doesn't last. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation on the back end. Soft malts, floral German style, nutty - tangy as well. Soft cooling pine. A little ripe citrus. Smooth finish. Not bad.

Can. Added as a pale ale because IPA doesn't allow you to reflect the right substyle. Update, I see some anonymous admin thinks they know better and has updated to IPA. Whatever! A mild haze on this orange beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head that lasts no time at all. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied malts but, certainly not lacking in flavour, the Chevalier richness comes through with aplomb, a kinda wet hay element to it. Hops bring crisp ripe citrus and a little marmalade. Crisp pine and fair hop spice nip. Some floral citrus out the back end. Crisp finish. Much as I love US, Kiwi and Aussie hops, I really do wish British brewers would pay more attention to home grown ingredients. Such a refreshing change. 8

The 'double Nelson" brew of Faithless, so fittingly a deadication beer to Admiral Lord Nelson, born on this day in 1758. Clear golden with a nice glow. Bitter-sweet hoppy notes with quite an ugly tasting floralness about it. Aroma fine though.

Very slightyl hazy gold with a frothy white head and soft citrus fruit and a hint of pine on the nose. Smooth and fresh, has a little hop kick, fruity notes, some caramel malt, soft pine and grapefruit bitterness, finishes slightly dry and bitter.
