The old brewing craft is maintained by him - because he attaches great importance to the fact that original beers with character are brewed in his brewery.

Bottle, thanks Kuba for sharing! Golden body, white head, lasting. Citric touches, honey, sweetish aroma. Sweet malty taste, simple, ending dry. Okay, nothing more, nothing less. That's a bit of a trend with this brewery?

Tap at Bräustüberl Zwiesel. Very clear golden body, thick off-white head. Soft, sweetish malty aroma, pleasant bready notes. Soft, malty, minerally, bready taste, quite delicate, I can see it not transfering perfectly into bottled form. Drinkable, classic, lightly underhopped and sweeter helles!

2021, bottled rating, I think on a train :
Bottle, thanks Kuba! Hazy golden body, white head. Sweetish malty aroma. Sweetish simple malty taste with light herbal bitterness. Not bad, not that good, just average. 6/5/6/8/6

Dark reddish, nearing brown. Smells pretty sweet, malty, German, lots of caramel. Mouthfeel is extremely light, without being overly watery. Light carbonation. Taste is malty, tiniest hint of roast, some slight caramelly sweetness. Dangerously quaffable.

Had this again Thursday 15th August 2024 (public holiday) it is Bier des Monats (bottle)Gasthof zum Sonnenwald, Schöfweg. It's a much nicer beer than I remember, clean, fresh, light and summery. Bottle picked up from Appel Getränkemarkt, Moosburg. Consumed at home Monday, yes Monday! 28th June 2021. Listening to Marc Riley on 6Music. Pours light gold, good clarity with a big bubbly white head, a touch of soapy hop but interestingly this fades away as you sup more, sweet, a little malt action. Started off unimpressed, ended up rather liking this.

Brownish red, clear, with a frothy off-white head. Smells malty, some light sweetness, hints of currants. Light and very easy drinking. Taste is fairly sweet, malty, with a lightly acidic aftertaste. Caramel, light red fruit, and a subtle dry bitter.

Bottle picked up from Appel Getränke, Moosburg and consumed at home Sunday 13th June 2021 . About to cook homemade Pizza in the wood oven. Pours hazy warm gold colour with a white head. Soft in the mouth, spritzy carbonation, wheatiness really shows interestingly the abv isn't so prominent, a little bit of banana and toffee it's not really doing it for me but it's ok.

Bottle picked up from Appel Getränke, Moosburg and consumed at home Saturday 12th June 2021. Listening to Lost Horizons - In Quiet Moments. We have Xenofon, Anastasia, Vassos and Kostas around today, cooking Chicken Tikka Kebabs, Fish Goujons, Chorizo and Halloumi Kebabs and Moroccan Lamb Kebabs with Tsatsiki, Turkish Flatbread, Greek and Italian Salads (*we've gone full on). Pours absolutely clear as a bell and a lovely gold colour with a white head. Sweetness with a little cereal, grainy, ok but lacks a little character.
