The tradition of our house goes back to Wolfgang Pfeffer, who founded the brewery in 1889. He made the recipe for our steam beer. His demands on quality and taste are still the guideline for our art of brewing. Sampled @ BKL 2018. A clear amber beer with a mid sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of reddish malt, caramelish malt, mild sweet malt. Taste of mild sweet caramelish malt, reddish malt, strong malt, medium bitterness.

Thnx to Aminatchime ! Pours clear, amber copper. Small white head. Smell is bit caramelly. Taste is sharp, very mild bitterness. Caramelly, tad sticky towards the aftertaste. Some residual sweetness. No real darker malts, or amber malty flavor. OK.

Bottle. Golden color, white foam. Aroma: apple, malt, grain, clean. Taste: good malty, a little green apple, grain, pure, light spice German hops, mild hop bitterness, very drinkable, good table beer.

Dunkel hefiger, minimal säuerlicher Antrunk. Trocken bananig, die Hefigkeit wird schnell schwächer. Herber Mittelteil mit Hefigkeit auf gleicher Stufe, spritzig, noch leicht dunkelmalzig. Süffig, okay. 9/9/10/9/6/9

Pours dark amber from the bottle. Aroma is caramel with apple notes. Taste is an understated bittersweetness with some light watery notes on the palate. Body trends light, and the carbonation is mild. Finishes with the same pleasing caramel/apple mix that greets the nose. Despite the simplicity, a pleasant enough brew. Good.

Clear golden with little white head. Aroma is mango peach and typical helles hops. Taste is sour fresh fruit and some tart hops. Nice hop profile. A tad watery but still a lot of body. Tasty and fresh. I like it.

500 ml bottle served in Weißbier glass. Banana, grain, yeast, some citrus. Fruity and yeasty. Soft carbonated, medium body. A bit watery, but refreshing. Decent Weißbier.
