The tradition of our house goes back to Wolfgang Pfeffer, who founded the brewery in 1889. He made the recipe for our steam beer. His demands on quality and taste are still the guideline for our art of brewing. 500 ml bottle served in mug. Golden colour, medium white head. Grainy smell. Bread, some citrus and grapefruit, grass and cereal. Balanced taste, nice bitterness and a bit fruity. Slick-watery texture, nicely carbonated. Surprisingly smooth and flavorful Helles!

500 ml served in mug. Amber colour with big fluffy foam head. Malt, ripe banana, rye bread, a bit tobacco and vanilla, and some Weizen/Dunkelweizen aromas. Malty and slightly bitter, a bit watery. Soft carbonated, medium body. Watery texture. Very unusual and traditional beer.

Mahagoni with no head. Aroma is yeasts, banana, flour, nuts slight spices. Taste is a bit flat sourness, less bitter nuts. Easy drinkable, but not smooth, many bubbles. However very characteristic. Enjoyable.

50cl swing top bottle. Pours clear dark golden colour with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of dry and medium sweet malt, some grains. Taste of sweet grainy malt, cereals, very mild hops, boring!!

At Internationales Berliner Bierfestival 2016. A bit hazy amber with a medium head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Similar taste. Also light hops and some yeast. Medium body and with a light bitterness.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - hazy orange with a decent head. Nose - orange and bread. Taste - toast and light orange. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - this is good for the style.

Bottle at the train during the Bamberg Jolly of 2014 - Day 1. Pours lightly hazy gold with a foamy, white head. Some sediment. Decent beer, with some sugary pale malts, cereal, light dough, low bitterness. Light in body with average carbonation. Sugary pale bread dominates the finish. So so.
