Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 10, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.Clear medium to dark red brown color with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, spicies / herbs, light licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100120]

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. On gravity at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 7/08/10. Dark, ruddy brown with a decent, off-white head. Caramel, some berry fruit and milky coffee notes, before a decent, dry finish. Good.

From cask. Pours clear and golden deep brown with a small orange glare and an off-white to tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and slight fruity. Fruity and caramelish. Slight bitter.

Cask. Clear warm orangey brown with a creamy off-white head leaving laces. Nutty aroma. Medium body, dried fruit and a little burned caramel - hardly any hard roasted malts. Some licorice in the finish but a very subdued bitterness. 200110

Cask handpull at The White Star, Liverpool. Mid brown, and has some diacetyl some ok malt in mouth and some hop sting on the finish.

Cask @ GBBF 2009. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.
