Bottle at ChrisO tasting, IP trade with Rilester, 30/12/12. Obscured dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that escapes to the edge. Nose is dark malts, dark fruit, suggestion of chocolate. Taste follows, raisens, dark fruit, chocolate, dark malt. Medium in body but a little thin and watery, roasty finish. Pretty basic stuff and not one Iโd be rushing back to!

Cask at the Speaker, St Jamesโs. It pours light hazy golden amber., with a thin bubbly white head. The nose is fairly subtle, some floral and hay. The taste is floral, hay, lemon pith, zesty, wood and toasted malt, with a dry, citric finish. Thin body and soft carbonation. Inoffensive.
