Bottle at ChrisO tasting, IP trade with Rilester, 30/12/12. Obscured dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that escapes to the edge. Nose is dark malts, dark fruit,suggestion of chocolate. Taste follows, raisens, dark fruit, chocolate, dark malt. Medium in body but a little thin and watery, roasty finish. Pretty basic stuff and not one Iโd be rushing back to!

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, toffee, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, toffee notes. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Light haze on this gold beer. Suddy white head. Light dry palate. Nice orange, light and a little floral. A little juicy. Very mild lemon. Semi dry finish.

Cask at the Speaker, St Jamesโs. It pours light hazy golden amber., with a thin bubbly white head. The nose is fairly subtle, some floral and hay. The taste is floral, hay, lemon pith, zesty, wood and toasted malt, with a dry, citric finish. Thin body and soft carbonation. Inoffensive.
