Bottle Pours a pale slight;y hazy golden with a small fizzy white head. Gone in only a mment there is barely enough to leave any lacing at all. Aroma is fruity and spicy but faintly so. Taste is dry and light. The typical Belgian flavors are subdued here. Slight citurs peel flavors and a lively carbonation. Finish is clean and quick with a little citrus bitterness.

2004 draught @ Barfly in Rochester, NY. Pours a pale whiteish-yellow with some light copper tinges. Small white head. Aroma of tons of floral hops, light pale malt. Flavor is hoppy, but not hugely bitter, with a smattering of lightly sweet malt to round things out. As it warms, more honey/caramel tones appear, and the hops gain some citrus. The body, which was a solid medium, with very lively carbonation was perhaps the best part; it didnt die a watery death. Flavor seems pretty average, at least pretty fresh as well.

Bottle pours a clear light red/brown witha medium sized of-white head. Aroma is of dark malts, grain a bit of brown sugar and carmel. Flavor is of burnt sugar, damp wood, wheat bread and very easy on the hops. In fact..did they use any? Feel is a bit thin and the finish is light and clean with lingering grassy biter. Agree with tigg "Pleasant but simple"

Medium brown in color, pretty average- not much of a head. Smell is slightly malty and nutty. Flavor is quite average for a brown ale... Nothing special here, unless you consider its organic nature.

Bottle Pours a light to medium copper amber that is quite clear, with a nice fluffy head. Aroma is a grain and malt, slight honey with a modest hops componant. Not as much as I expected from this IPA The flavor is easy on the hops, and as prev rater says, sweet and mellow. After taste has some of that bite that it should have. A drinkable and tasty IPA for me.

Bottle Pours very dark reddish brown with a very thick creamy light tan head. Aroma is a very dark roasted, coffee and carmel. Flavor is strong burnt, smokey wood up front. Very little hops. Smooth thick feel that goes down very easy. Slightly bitter trailer. Very nice. Longterm black coffee after taste. A first tier porter for me. Thanks to Probiere for the trade.

Bottle sampled at 55F Pours very dark, held to direct setting sun, dark reddins brown shines through. Modest fizzy head that leaves in a bit of a hurry. Moderate lacing is present. Smells smokey and dark. Taste is smokey, like campfire charcoal. Not much sweetness but still very tastey. As it warms up a bit, carbonation that was not much is decreasing of course and the woody smokey flavor is coming out more now. Must be the Oatmeal in these that really mellow out a stout. Finish is very smooth and clean. Nary a trace of hopps or lingering bitters. A good one that is under rated IMO.

Sample on draught at Barley’s Smokehouse. Pours a dark reddish brown with a dense and thin off-white head. Malty and fruity aroma. Thin-bodied and fairly sweet with malt, molasses and caramel. The finish consists mostly of sweet fruit, along with light bitterness. Rather uninteresting for the most part.

This brew is a very dark brown color, not quite opaque with a slight reddish tint. Medium thin and quickly dissipating light tan head, and very thin lacing. The aroma consists of roasted coffee and soy. Dry and a little too thin-bodied for my tastes, with flavors of coffee, caramel and a bit of chocolate. Some sweetness comes through in the finish, along with a touch of hops. This Stout falls short in about every area, but despite that it is still drinkable.
