Tap at Sidedoor. Filtered looking stained glass brown-burgundy body. Steady creamy beige head. Sweet rum and brown chocolate aroma. The rum is quite apparent, but overall this is a pretty decent offering, maybe a touch too sweet. Very reminiscent of rum cake, would go perfectly with something like that. The sweet rum flavors work well here, but there isnβt much malt depth, and no real hop character of course. OK. Easy drinking for the ABV.

12oz bottle. Deep brown-red body. Steady beige head. Mild but true aroma. has some minty chocolate bitterness up front, but sort of finishes hollow..not much depth. Better than expected, as it is drinkable, not off, and relatively to style. The cheap or sparing use of good malt tones come through as expected, sugary, cheap feel. Has the body of a 4.5% beer in a sense. I would drink this again, not so bad for cheap macro-micro.

Clear golden coloured body with a thin two centimetre tall white head. Aroma of lemons, wheat, grass and a bit of metal. Light-bodied; Sharp malt notes with some grain, rice and honey all with a nice malt depth and some metallic twangs near the end. Aftertaste shows some mild malt tastes, a bit of grain and metal, some rice and a bitter finish. Overall, a nice beer for the style, but not great overall - drinkable, of course, but showing a bit too many bitter and deep flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Corner Store (Bait and Tackle) in West Palm Beach, Florida on 30-December-2013 for US$2.39 sampled in my hotel room here in Clearwater, Florida on 03-January-2014.

Amber coloured body with a a copper glow at the bottom and a very thin half-centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, light sugar, very minimal hops and a nice fresh grain scent. Light-bodied; Nice fresh malt flavour with a good toasty flavour, some light wheat and a strong caramel and toffee finish. Aftertaste is mellow and subdued with only a little toffee and nutty flavours making things bitter, but the malt and light grain stays throughout. Overall, a nice light beer with some solid flavours and nothing bitter or offputting. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased on 30-December-2013 for US$2.39 from Corner Store (Bait and Tackle) in West Palm Beach, Florida sampled on New Yearβs Day 2014 (January 1st) in my hotel room here in Clearwater, Florida.

Bottle at a tasting event. From notes. Not a whole lot of "IPA" going on here. Mostly Roasty malts. Meh.

Bottle sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Caramel and winter spices with loads of cereal grains packed in. Drinkable, but nothing too special.

Draft. Light amber body. Frothy white head. Light aroma of toasted grain, citrus, lemon, sweet grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Inoffensive and easy drinking. On the sweet side.

Tap at Capital Ale House. Orange amber body with a steady, creamy off-white head. Sweet, very sweet, but drinkable. Imperial sugar/extract beer, but the flavor is still OK. Oily, below par for the style. Resinous. Not horrendous, not good. My numbers seem high.
