Cask at the George, Croydon. It pours very dark brown, with a bubbly beige head. The nose is earth, wood and caramel. The taste is caramel, wood, light smoke, bitter chocolate, earth, tar, bitterness and light astringency, with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not bad, but unexciting.
