Re-rate 6/16: Bottle shared at a tasting at Alexey & Raphaela’s place. Thanks mom for this bottle! Clear yellow. Grainy aroma with malt and some apples (acetaldehyde). Flavor has some grainy malt, a bit of apples, and a mildly bitterish finish. Rather light-bodied. Drinkable. Better than last time. 4/3/4/3/8=2.2
Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks mom for this bottle! Hazy yellow. Sourish aroma of yeast, vegetables and a bit of fruits. Sourish flavor with yeast, sour vegetables, a bit of fruits, graininess, and a bitterish touch in the finish. Light-bodied. Spoiled. 3/3/4/2/6=1.8

Dark brown color. Brown sugar, chocolate and cherries. The mouth is surprisingly light bodied for 8%. Lots of brownies and cookies in a sweet malty mouth. Decent, but a bit off balance.

Tap at Bungalow. Slightly hazy golden color with a low head. Nose of wheat, lemon, light esters, more like a kristal or a wheat ale. Bit of candy banana in the flavor, orange, peaches, biscuit. Crisp, light. Ok bitterness. Decent but a bit too candy-ish.

Tap at Bungalow. Didn’t list the hops there, but I guess it is the same. Orange, somewhat glowing, clear. Low, thin head. Lemony nose, cracker malts, rather faint. Sweet and malty, oranges and biscuits. A bit syrupy.

Slightly hazy golden color with a nice off-white head. Passion fruit, apricot and peach on the nose with a hint of citrus. Fruity and refreshing on the palate with a touch of bitterness. Not bad.

On tap at CBM Jimbocho. Hazy golden orange color with a nice foamy off-white head. Big floral hop aromas present with citrus and a hint of yeast on the nose. Medium body with nice carbonation. One dimensional for an IPA but not bad at all. Nice dry and mildly bitter finish. Good stuff.

Tap at Komachi. Orange-amber color, low head. Estery nose, peaches and orange, some melon. Spicy Belgian yeast, somewhat sugary. Very sweet and estery. Canned, sweetened peaches and apricots. Interesting fruit flavor but far too sweet.

I am guessing this is the same Imperial Golden Ale. On tap at Ibaraki Bakuon. 6.5% Nelson Sauvin hops. It pours a crystal clear deep gold with a thick foamy head and a solid white grape & light malt aroma. The taste is a light crisp bitterness, very fruity white grape and a bit of pils malts. Not bad but pretty simple yet quite satisfying.

Draught at Craft Beer Live 2014. Bright golden color. Nose of lemon, malts, light DMS. Lemony flavor, nice bitterness, a bit of DMS kind of takes the fun out, though.
