Tap at the brewery pub. Aroma of sweet, burnt caramel. Flavor of slightly burnt caramel with some dark fruits. Bad balance; cloying, and not much flavor for the 8%. doesn’t work.

Nitrogen at the Brewpub in Sannomiya. They call it "Guiness Book" in this form. Big chocolate flavor; sweet but not cloying. Great smooth palate. Rather weak aroma, though, milky and a bit weird. Very nice flavor and mouthfeel, though. Much nicer than the CO2 version.

On draught at the Hyogo Beer Oktoberfest in Kobe. This really shouldn’t be called an IPA. There are no hops noticeable at all, and the strength really isn’t there either. That said, it is a nice, malty beer. Call it a brown ale or an ESB. Smokey, lots of caramel and dark malts. Decent fruits. No hops.

Light golden color, light body with a weak dry grainy finish. Their Porter is their best beer and it is nothing special

Light Golden color with a citrusy, grapefruity nose. Slightly sweet start and a hoppy mouth with a moderately dry finish.

Deep brown color, thin white head that disappates too quickly for my liking. Chocolte malts dominate the nose, with faint hint of hops. The body is light and chocolatey... wait it is too light for me. The finish is mildly chocolately and actually a bit warming which was suprising considering the strength of the beer. This beer is like if you gave a mad scientist a porter recipe and told him to work his magic this is what he would produce. Nothing fancy, stick to the book porter.
