Deep purple with no head. Aroma of big blackcurrent, really fruity with floral honey. Flavour is heavy sweet with light tartness from the blackcurrants. Full bodied with alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation.

Pours a dark, clear, ruby red. Scent is intense, cinnamon forward, mild honey, and traces of maple in the back. Taste is full, sweet, intense red fruits ( berries ) and cinnamon. Maple is much, much more in the back, and is hardly recognizable. Loads of honey though. perhaps a bit too much cinnamon to my taste, but not bad at all.

Pours a bright, dark, candy-lookin' red. Scent is intense, very honey forward. mild red fruits. Some alcohol, but not overly so. Taste is very full. Thick bodied, very honey forward, mild red berries. nice balance, all be it more to the honey than the adjunct side. Not overly convinced concidering it's price though. Alcohol is relatively hidden for its 16 abv.

First sampled from prerelease bottle during Wild Festival, then again during THT December 2019 in its final form. Early notes: Clear bright red with no head. Massive sweet raspberries, red currant, honey. Massive. Super sweet with nice tartness. Full body, soft and slick. Soft carbonation. Really nice. Added notes: In the final version I didn’t get that many raspberry frontal notes, which I actually loved. Still really nice crafted mead!

Bottle from the brewer and shared with the KL Tasting Crew. Poured a clear dark burgundy colour with no life. The aroma is big rich boozy blackberries. The flavour is moderate sweet, with big, rich, smooth, oily, honey, juicy red berry fruit palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation. Awesome and very satisfying.

What a lovely little melomel. Sweet honey, of course, but fermented well so not that sweet. The tartness from the massive amount of fruit keeps the sweetness in check as well. Lots of fruit, raspberry, currants, cherries, blackberries. Balanced.
