Bottle. Color: Very dark brown, no head. Aroma: Dark malt, filter coffee. Taste: Sweetish mix of dark malt, caramel, rye, Whiskey notes, dark coffee. Full body, no carbonation. Medium sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Very nice slow sipper.

Bottle. Color: Very dark reddish brown, no head. Aroma: Sweet, caramal fudge, malty. Taste: Sweet, boozy notes, dark dried fruit, caramel, malty, light hints of nuts. Over medium sweet. Light bitterness. Full body, low carbonation. A bit too sweet for me.

Bottle. Something went wrong and my rating was not saved some days ago. Most probably my own fault... Remember that the color was pretty dark for a Barley Wine. Dark malt, hints of roasted malt(?), raisins, hints of nuts. Sweet, full body, low carbonation. Boozy notes. Nice one. That's all I do remember, folks...

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Near black, small head. The nose is entirely dominated by peppery coffee. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Coffee, faint caramel and warming alcohol. Mid bitter finish. Overflavoured, making it sketchy.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small head. Aroma is coffee and roasted tones with some well alcohol tones. Flavour is coffee, roasted and some sweet malty and toffeeish tones. Rather roasted, coffeeish and ashy for a Barley wine.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted tones and some mild nutty tones. Flavour is big time espresso burning coffee with some nutty, roasted and mild ashy tones. I like my coffee black and wellroasted, but as in a beer.

Pours black, no head . Scent is bourbon, chocolatesauce , mild on the booze. Taste is very thick, no real carbonation, chocolate source, milder than expected bourbon, very low on alcohol heath. Very decent, but could use a bit more depth , complexity, and at least a touch of carbo
