Sweet, funky and farmyardy with some yeastiness, earthiness and ripeish fruitiness. A bit oxidized and funky

(Can) Pours hazy pale golden with no head. Pleasant aroma of lemon and grapes. Medium bodied with good fine carbonation. Taste is tart and fruity with grapes and lemon. There’s some spice hints. Unusual, refreshing, interesting.

An evidently dense black body with a thin light tan head. The nose hints at dark fruit, coffee and citrus hops. This is another monster IS by Mikkellar, but it does not produce as unified a taste profile as some others. Big berries, chocolate, bitter coffee and some hops. There is a slight venous undertaste at work here and the bitterness of the hops and coffee are a touch too strong in the finish. Overall, tasty and rich, but quite sweet and a bit jagged in the aftertaste.

A dense tan head on a near black body. The nose features sweet malt, chocolate and smooth coffee. A lot of great things going on here. Vanilla and dark chocolate lead the taste profile, blended with fresh ground coffee, toffee, dark fruit and some woodiness. A touch of nutmeg and a slightly burnt aftertaste round out a beaut of an Imperial Stout.

On tap at the ChurchKey, DC. A rich, dark amber beer with an off-white head. A lovely sharp and fresh nose with various fruits, some booze and biscuit malt. There are a range of sweet, fruity and roasted elements here, all in a great blend. Caramel, ripe berries, orange, lemon, biscuity malt and tropical fruit work well together. The body is rich and dense. Nicely discernible but well blended tastes. Everything you could ask for in a big Euro BW.

the nose features mild coffee, cream, chocolate and a whiff of sawdust. This is a relatively understated and well balanced stout. The taste profile features mild coffee, mocha, cocoa and cream. It has a nice clean finish.
