On tap at HopCat. Murky prune-brown body, thin ring of off-white carbonation. Fruity, leathery sweet and sour nose with notes of plum, oak, and bourbon. Heavy. Sour, tannic body, funky and woody with notes of oak, bourbon, plum and plum skin. Leathery and juicy. Complex, warming, and a tad rough with a syrupy sweet finish. Very nice.

On tap at HopCat. Hazy straw-orange body, medium tight cream head. Sweet, grainy nose with peach, herbs, and freshly mowed grass. Peachy, sugary body, herbal and grassy. A few ounces is enough except for those unusual individuals who really dig peach in beer.

Courtesy of Toby, thanks man! Pours a nice deep darkness with thin mocha head. The aroma has bold dark fruity esters (blueberry and concord grape jam) and then it gets more like chocolate, malt balls, a bit of roasted malts and some dustiness around the edges. The taste is full with rich chocolate goodness, a modest level of burnt malts and a thick background of sweetness. It gets a bit boozy into the finish. Tasty brew indeed.

tap at the brewpub last summer - This brew smells of grapefruit hops and bourbon. The taste is primarily big citrus hops bitterness. There’s also caramel malt and bourbon that come through well in this full bodied brew.

tap at the brewpub last summer - Pours amber and has ample citrus hops aroma. As expected it’s big on the hops bitterness. There are also citrus notes and a little pine. It’s medium bodied with a long, bitter finish. The one downside is that it’s not as crisp as I’d like, but it’s still good.

tap at the brewpub last summer - Pours cloudy orange with a small head. The aroma is of yeast and citrus, mostly the yeast. The flavor is lightly sweet and quite well hopped with a medium body and a dry finish. For me the rhubarb was undetectable. This brew is fairly good but seems to be missing something for a saison.

tap at the brewpub last summer - Pours amber with a minimal head and a mild caramel malt aroma. It tastes fairly bitter, making it well hopped for the style, but it stays balanced and has a mild bitter finish. Pretty good.
