(Draught at Gist, Brussels, 18 Oct 2023) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, dough, grain, hay and grass. Malty taste with bread, grain, peaches, citrus, grass and a mild grassy bitterness. Light body, with a slight sweetness. Refreshing and highly drinkable. Nice one.

I spotted this 33 cl bottle at a small shop near our hotel in Brussels. On a tour we stood across the street from the BBP brewery, couldn't go in because it was closed. So I came home with this beer to try. I have a tulip glass in place for the pour, reddish brown in color with a slender cover of parchment foam. The smell is malty and grainy. I lift the glass to take a drink. Scorched malt, biscuits, a piney bitterness, a touch of sweetness and perhaps a bit of citrus. Dense, a substantial feel. I have not tried many in the style but this is the best one. And I do like the stand-out label.

On tap at Beer Capital, Brussels on 27th January 2024. Hazy amber with shallow off-white foam and a fair amount of lacing. Inviting aroma of tropical fruits. Tangy fruits in-mouth with nuttiness and the suggestion of fresh dairy cream. Sweet and tangy fruits in finish, joined by a late bitterness. Light bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

Much more sour than expected. Luckily I like sour. Otherwise was expecting more smooth and dry.
