Bottled. (BB 060228, no signs of being off.) Hazy, orange-colored lager with a white head. It sort of volcanoed out of the bottle. Fruity aroma with citrus and hops. The flavor is very hoppy for an pilsner, with some malt and grain. Medium body and a fruity and bitter finish. The bitterness in the finish is a bit stinging. Not the typical pilsner, but very nice. Thanx Papsoe, it was a nice one. (060914)

Unlike the whiskey, which has settled for a few years, this bottle was relatively fresh and wow what a difference in the character. The bourbon is right in your face. Critize if you want, but I have had enough JD and coke in my life to have a very good idea what it tastes like and it is no insult to this beer whatsoever, but your sure as hell could trick some people to believe its actually JD and coke. The amazing thing is the body is so light, but the ABV is so high. A truely unique beer that should be drank fresh.

Dark brown color. Light brown head. Whiskey and dark chocolate are present in the nose, but very subtle. Whisky and dark chocolate are present in the mouth and I thought this was very much like a Baltic porter. Whiskey character has definetely settled.

Very cloudy. Med golden color. Thick white head with faint banana notes. Light banana mouth and some wheat character. Dry banana finish. Nice, but needs work.

Med golden color, thin head. Aromatic saaz hops in the nose. Clean malty start, but then hops hit back of throat. Well balanced. Assertive bitter finish. Simply outstanding for the style and a beer many Czech breweries should take note of.

A nut brown beer with a small white head. The aroma is very spicy and reminds me of a mix of motor oil and flowers. It tastes better than the aroma, it is spicy with notes of chocolate and candied violets.

Bottle. Nice big head with good duration. Color is light golden. Aroma is mainly hops. Taste is hops with a nice sense of freshness because of a well balanced acidity.

A slightly hazy amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wood, alcohol, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is "old" as an Old Ale should be with notes of wood, over ripe fruit, oranges comes to mind, and alcohol tickling the tongue, leading to a quite heavy sweet end, from which the alcohol and wood lingers the longest. Nice.
