Bottled. Dark amber, rich head. Grassy nose. Generously malty with soft, light mouthfeel and some caramel flavour. Bitter grassy finish. A very drinkable malt accented ale.

Bottled. Golden colour, creamy head. Grapefruity hop aroma. Firm, rounded malt character with casacde hops on top of it. Medium bitterness. A good, untraditional pilsener.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy yellow colour. OK stable white head. Very fruity aroma for a pilsner. Also quite fruity flavour with a very nice bitter finish.

Hazy amber beer; faintly amberish head, quite stable. Vanilla, and a bit of ice cream with sweet chocolate, whiff of caramely hops (do those exist?) There’s a hop flavour struggling to get out, but the caramely, toffee (with a dash of brandy) taste gets the better of it. Hop venges itself by shaping a bitterish finish, nearly metallic. Fruity character, oranges, figs, and "bitter melons" (but very, very little of those). A bit sharp MF, well bodied; certain slickness, appropriate to an old ale. Another good one from this NZL brewery. However, making a great old ale is a lot easier than making a great Pilsener. Easy on the hops, boys, not all has to taste like IPA.

Huge, just yellow-tinted head, collapsing with confluent bubbles; yellow-golden beer. Lunaria, unripe nectarines, bit of grass in the nose; further dusty hops of absolute top quality, grapey, grapefruit. Excellent. Again beautiful hopstaste, slightly citric quality, grapefruit. Fleeting vanilla-sweet impression. Finishes just slightly toasted. Beer gives more a hoppier, rather than bitter impression, but is quite bitter all the same. Absolutely refreshing, even when the hops convey some dusty flavour. What?? A Pilsener with 8/10 - sure that must be a mistake? Am I loosing my marbles - or is somebody in NZL doing a terrific job?

Hazy golden straw colour. Honeyed malts, grassy hops and phenolic undertones in the aroma. Flavour has sunny malts and a hint of bread.

(500 ml bottle conditioned, thanks to JensenTaster). Deep golden / amber colour, large & lingering fluffy head. Lovely flowery and grapefruity aroma, all from the hops, no doubt. Flavour is dominated by the grapefruity and resiny hoppy bitterness, which is a tad too rough for me in the finish. Long lasting aftertaste. A beer well above average.

A hazy orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is very hoppy - almost with grapefruit notes. The flavor sweet and very bitter and crisp, in the end the bitterness turns oily and like grapefruit. A very nice pilsener.

(Bottle conditioned, 500 ml. ABV was 4.8%.) Gushes out of the bottle, pours with an enormous light tan head. Aroma is malts, caramel and overwhelmingly fermenting fruits (apples, pears, plums). Flavour is overwhelmingly acidic and fruity, bordering on vinegar. This acidity masks all other flavours, just a hint of hop bitterness on the back of my tongue. Some metallic sidenotes. My beer was still drinkable (2 months left till expiry date), but had clearly set sails for a voyage to the promised land of Vinegaria.

A deep red-brown beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet roasty with notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet roasted with notes of chocolate and a dry end.
