Bottle at home in London. Many thanks to Tomer for the trade! Pours deep brown with a sturdy, dark beige foam head. Some greasy, meaty dark malts in the nose, bit of tangy cocoa, moderate roast and the bottom of a coffee pot. Light to medium sweet flavor with plenty of ashy roasted malts, chocolate, faint licorice, dark malts, well toasted sugars, light bitter burnt wood and earth. Light to medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Light sweetness to finish, some flinty dark malts, pleasant bittersweet cocoa, light roast, ash, mellow tobacco, low bitterness. Very drinkable stout. There are actually some really rewarding layers to this beer. Nice work!

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours hazy light orange with a small white head. The nose is lightly sweet, pear, melon, raspberry, candy and dough. The taste is rhubarb and custard sweets, earth, spice, faint sweetness and dough with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Interesting flavour profile. Actually rather nice!

Draught sample at "Beers 2013". Dark brown-colored, black "Turkish" coffee-like. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate, a bit of coffee, dark fruits, a bit of candies and a hint of diacetyl. Bitter and slightly sweet flavor, somewhat roasty, with some coffee, some dark fruits notes, nice bitter hops and a bit of alcohol. Medium-full-bodied. Nice.

0.33l bottle shared @ Israeli tasting evening event. Pours a light cloudy body with a small islandy head. The aroma is not too good. Unfortunately it reminds me of how it smells under the kitchen sink. Sour and a bit rotten. Soft carbonation and a oily texture. It's drinkable. Not any good, but I can drink it. Quite sweet and some what malty, blended with some really really well done fruits. It's also quite clearly tones of oxidized caramel. Mah.. Could be a drainpour. Clearly infected, and that's a shame. 11.02.2012

Re-rate 2/19: Hazy yellow, big white head. Phenolic spiciness, yeast, minerals, some fruitiness, citrus, sweetish, bread, bitter finish. Similar to my previous experience with the beer. 5/4/5/3/10=2.7

Draught sample at Beers 2012 exhibition in Tel Aviv. Cloudy golden. Orange color with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, mild fruity esters and light bready notes. Sweetish fruity flavor with a drier finish with light bitterness. Light to medium-bodied. The bitterness doesn’t work so good here and esters aren’t dominant enough - still kinda OK. 5/4/5/3/10=2.7
