bottle 0.75 from saveur-biere. Hazy amber colour, mid-sized off-white head. Yeasty-fruity nose, quite perfumy. Medium-bodied, malty start with wild yeasty flavours and spicy hops, aome floral hints and a touch of caramel. Good stuff.

bottle 0.75 from saveur-biere. Hazy deep golden with a creamy white head. Malty start, pleasantly yeasty and fruity with spicy hops and a wild sourish touch that suits the beer well. Delicious and interesting!

Bottle from a shop in Arromanche, Normandy, as Brin de Folie Biere Blonde Artisanale. Whew! Pours hazy dark gold with a creamy off-white head. Light fruity aroma. Hint of yeast. Med body. Flavor is earthy, Belgian yeast/spice, mild fruit. I’m sure blind tasting would have me calling it Belgian. Bronze medal in Paris (2012). Perhaps the quality is improving. Finishes "down and dirty".

Bottle 750ml. @ Petalax Beer Festival 2010 - the 4th. edition. [ As De Sutter Brin de Folie Blonde ].Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, old fruit, moderate yeasty, fruity, spicy, coriander notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, spicy, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100703]

Ah, finally it came in stock across Paris! I happened upon the label and thought that it would be worth a try.... what with the snow blowing out there scaring poor Parisians back to their flats, it’s a good time to review a Noël beer or two. Pours with huge white head and a foggy brown bright mud-coloured body. Lots of malt and coriander on the nose, sharp and dry, sweet bread notes. Taste is smooth caramel with a sharp hop and coriander finish. Mouthfeel is good but should be just a little bit thicker. This isn’t one of those monster Christmas beers but it drinks well and won’t knock you out after a glass.

Muddy orange body with no visible carbonation, a huge and appealing head on top. Aroma of orange, lemon, hops. Taste is heavy syrup, malt and barley, sweetness. Average for this kind of beer, but drinkable for sure.

Very nice orange body with plenty of carbonation, some fogginess, big antique-white head. Aroma of bread, corn. Taste is hints of tin and malt, some lemon and alcohol. Watery mouthfeel. Slightly below average for this kind of brew.
