Fairly cloudy and hazy golden coloured body with a very large, four to five centimetre tall off-white large-bubbled head that dies down quickly - pretty ugly and no lacing at all remains on the side of the glass at all. Aroma of super funky, soured, bretty, lactobilly and even spontaneous fermentation notes come out with some light blackberries, raspberries and oak notes along with a kick of peaches and caster sugar at the end - very nice in the nose and quite funky, of course. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong funky and tart notes dominate up front that pucker the mouth and bring out a nice fruit and soured complexity to the palate with a dry malt and grain kick as well, but the oaky, cedar and dry foeder notes dominate the rest of this one. Aftertaste shows some funkiness of course, mainly from the soured and spontaneously fermented notes with a lot of fruit flavours drying out the palate with raspberries, lemons, tangerines, grapefruits and yes, pure vinifera grapes (white wine) coming through the end with a oaky, cedar note and some very light malts. Overall, a nice, complex beer with a lot of oaky, dry notes that sit above the foeder and soured, tart fruit flavours with a lot of room in the middle for the soft malts, light sugars and complex yeasts to roam as this ages. Great to sample and while funky, complex and deep, this isn't an amazing beer that everyone should sample immediately. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Everyday Wines in Ann Arbor, Michigan on 02-August-2021 for US$5,50 sampled at my house here in Washington a bit more than 13 months later, at the start of this college football season, while a long way from Ann Arbor, still close in heart, on 05-September-2022.

Fat på Brewskival 2022, fre. Ljusröd, disig med vit krona. Röda bär, röda druvor, druvskal, jordgubb, citron och lime. Stramt, friskt, pigg syrligt. Piggt och gott.
