Description

Tap at the brewpub. Clear golden pour, small white head. Piney, funky, papery aroma, some light pungent skunky pine hops, with miniaml cereals. The finish is very bitter, but its bright and refeshing, but the over the top bitterness would kill your tastebuds and not really make it very sessionable.

A very herbacious example of a pils. Light citrus zest notes, pale grains. Light bitternes, very crisp finish, quite nice. On tap at the brewpub. B

Cask Days 2012.
Hazy golden pour, small white head.
Nice aroma, lots of herbal hops, some light citrus. very welcoming, not over the top. Mouth feel is a tad thin, but no big deal. Carb is a little low, might be the cask. Finish is of a medium bitterness, and some sweet grassy, juicy citrus hop finish. tasty.

My personal highlight beer of the 2012 mondiale.
On tap at the Benelux booth, i went back 4 times!
Hazy orange pour, medium white head. Wow, i couldn’t get my nose out of my glass. Massive amounts of fresh, green, sticky, hop leaves. Loads of c-hops. Citrus all over the place, like fresh squeezed hop juice. Medium body, and carb. Massive hop finish, juicy, and not too bitter. The bitterness was curbed, and not over powering. A hop heads dream.

On tap at the brewpub.
Light funk, sourness. Some light fruitiness, i guess you could say its cranberries, cant really tell except for the slight sourness. A dry finis, with a slight sourness.

Whoa this was a big beer! One of the most complex of the weekend, there is so much going on here. The first thing that hits your nose is the barrel. Huge notes of whiskey, oak, vanilla. But then the ripe dark fruit comes through, raisins, plums. Then you get hints of coffee, and molasses. The mouthfeel is thick and viscous, and it just coats everything. The finish is quite warm and boozy, with a big oaky vanilla finish, with a rich sweetness of molasses, and toffee. Quite the sipper.

First beer i tried at the mondiale this year. A great orange/golden pour. Absolutely amazing aroma of juicy citrus fruit. Loads of grapefruit, and touches of pine resin. Medium bitterness intensse grapefruit and resinous hops aftertaste. This is a serious west coast ipa, awesome!
