Description

On tap at the brewpub.
Nitro tap i believe.
Jet black pour, light roasted malts, very light hops, with some bitter cocoa. Light mouthfeel, very dry finish with a lingering roastiness. Pretty middle of the road.

aroma of dried grass, wet grass, and some wet cardboard. Flavor was stale hops, malted grains, and some light peppery booze. really nothing special.

hazy yellow pour, medium body, aroma of sour yeast, and peppery hops. a little light, but still a good saison.

interesting beer. kinda like a hybrid between a tripel, and a saiosn. lots of dry crisp hops, with yeasty notes. Flavor is full of peppery alcohol, and some more hops. nic stuff.

not as hoppy as i would expect for a DIPA. A nice malt in the flavour helps balance the beer out. The hops were prominent and nice, but its more or a strong IPA, than a double IPA in my opinion

Can from Chez Ben. This appears to be a different version than listed here. Hops are listed as Cascade-Simcoe-Citra. SRM 4.9, IBU 35. 6.3ABV. Hazy medium+ amber with a large lingering cream coloured cap that leaves tight lace. Nose is pine forward with some citrus peel, grass and light tropical fruit along with light grains. Light honey sweetness with a medium+ grass and resin bitterness. Mouth is medium+ and slick with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Not sure what's happening but it seems darker, more bitter and boozier than the specs on the label indicate 8/4/7/4-/15
