Bottle. Cloudy dark yellow sporting a massive white head. Aroma of passion fruits, apricots, grains and spices. Taste follows aroma plus oranges, caramel and some honey. Dry finish. Strong carbonation. It’s good alright but not as refined and earth shattering as the dark brews from Rochefort.

Medium, white head. Taste: Light-medium sweet, malty, spicy, light fruity, light bitter. Palate: Medium body. Creamy texture. Higher carbonation.

Bottle pours out golden topped with a sand head. Nose is great sweet caramel spice malts some wood. Taste is more of the nice sweet caramel toffee malts wood and plenty spice.

Trappistes Rochefort 6, Fläschchen von Ambrosetti. - Rotbraun, trüb; üppiger Schaum. - In der Nase warmes Toastmalz, leicht nussig, und ausgeprägte wenngleich runde Frucht, rote Waldbeeren, abgerundet mit feiner herbaler Hopfung. - Antrunk weich dunkelmalzig und deutlich obergärig fruchtig, wobei reife Frucht und dezente Orangenschalenbittere das milde dunkle Malz dominieren. Leise Gewürze, deutliche Kandiszuckersüße; Anklänge an Schokolade. Schaumig rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang feine Gewürze und nur matte herbale Hopfung - bis zuletzt dominiert die dunkle Fruchtigkeit. - Schönes Dubbel mit einigem Tiefgang, freilich etwas zu süß und arg knapp gehopft (was wohl zu dieser Biersorte gehört).
