16 oz can. Aroma is soft pineapple and perhaps coconut from the Talus. Flavor is pretty much the exact same. The texture and body doesn’t have a good malt backbone. Almost watery. Not a huge fan here.

Brewery draught, 7/5/24. Clear lighter blonde-brass. Small, white head, quickly to ring. Funky, heavy mineral and sweat with a real earthy, rindy citrus character and crusty malts. Good juiciness emerging in the end with acid from hop and citrus. Clean and aromatic. Juicy, floral, quite citrusy with plentiful white bread and honey-like malt. Good depth and attenuation. Not overdone on citrus addition. Good amount of body and flavor for its size.

6 oz draft. Aroma is lemons. (No surprise there!) Flavor has the lemon with notes of kumquat and orange. Very soft lemon peel bitterness. 🍋 Good

Canned 5/2/24, drunk 7/5/24. Moderately hazy, brinz -brass. Frothy, white head. Coconutty (lightly) Talus with a bit of piney vista. Soft, honeyish malts but more of a WC feel hop-wise. Clean, quite malty. No booze. Light for 7, with malt sweetness up front but falling off quickly as crackery, somewhat thin malts enter and finishes on more sugary malt and pine and light coconut and pineapple. Not all that interesting with too little body for its size.

Draught @ Bondurants, Manhattan (Dec 2023). Hazy lemon yellow with a very small foamy off-white head, lemon aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter citrus peel taste, thin body, long citrus finish. Quite mellow.

500mL bottle drunk 6/28/24. Clear, dark. Good head. Buttery whiskey/oak. Rich and yet not aggressive. Buttered rum, toast, chocolate, toffee.... In the mouth it's similar. Rich buttercream and toffee with hot buttered rum and oak. Rich malts but high attenuation with a kiss of roasty coffee on the finish. Bit of honey and caramel, sweet chocolate and more buttery bread.

Can, date is illegible, drank 6/24/24. Bright cranberry-elderberry. Small, pink head to ring. Clear. Good balance, not too much of any acidity. Decent salinity, juicy berry and faint wheat or something like that. Not overly aromatic, but clean. Really nice balance in the mouth. Good malt, biscuity-chewy wheat and not overdone acidity. Low salinity, good fruit character and lingering malt. Good use more acidity, a bit more salinity and a leaner overall feel, I think.

Canned 5/23, drunk 6/19/24. Clear brass-copper. Large, white, well-retained head. Smells like a lighter, less sugary sip. Same mix of pineapple, grapefruit and pine with light honey and white bread from the malt. Less of the somewhat gross yeastiness of Sip. Still has that punchiness of Sip. Pine, pineapple, sweat and spice. Still too sugary, like Sip. Not that much littler than Sip and still most of the bad qualities. Dumping it. Love Lawsons, hate Sip.
