(bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a firm mid-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Moderately wheaty aroma with citrus-fruity and herbal-spicy, also slightly grassy notes. Mildly bitter and slightly sour-tart flavour, light bodied with a calm, almost a bit flat carbonation. Dry-ish malty and wheaty base with fruity notes of citrus, stonefruits, accompanied by grassy and herbal accents, lingering into the dry and slim, sour-fruity and mildly tart finish. Might be refreshing in the summer time, too bad it´s winter; drinkable but not that great. By far the weakest of the otherwise good Hopfenhacker portfolio I´ve had so far. 07.II.17

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and loose mid-sized foamy head. Slightly wheaty and moderately spicy aroma with hints of coriander, backed by flowery, mildly fruity and grassy hops, including shy zesty notes, tropical fruits and a whiff of bergamot. Bitter and slightly tart flavour, light bodied with a prickly carbonation. Slim malty, slightly wheaty base with present peppery spicy notes, coriander and a mildly fruity and grassy hoppy background; dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish with fruity notes of oranges, tropical notes and bearable spicy accents. Not bad. 06.II.17

(bottle) Almost clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Dark malty and mildly toasted aroma with caramel and present fruity and spicy hops, including notes of dark and red berries, grassy and resiny accents. Mildly bitter and slightly sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a calm carbonation. Slim dark malty base with notes of bread and caramel, backed by spicy and mildly fruity hops, lingering into the slightly caramelly finish. Nice one, just could have had more body. 02.II.17

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Pours clear dark amber. Aroma is straight grassy hoppy, with clear amber malt notes. Some caramel, light nuts. Body is medium, with a lively carbonation taking the lead in texture. Quite refreshing, almost a bit tart on the palate. Nice and tasty, although not your typical Märzen.
