Krug in Meisterstück Haidhausen. Chewy fruity malt base, mellow medium body, good grassy and aromatic hops counterpoint. Quaffable, solid.

Tap. Served in a ceramic mug, so let's assume it was hazy golden, the head is creamy. Aroma is grainy, bready yeasts. Taste is nutty, bready, some juicy malts, but the graininess is more prominent than the juiciness. Natural carbonation. Nice, but not exciting.

Draught @ Meisterstück, Münich. Aroma is somewhat tart with redcurrants and tobacco smoke. Flavour is a bit tart with currants, some sweetish malt, hints of resin, some grassy hops and mild milky notes. Unusual märzen.

33cl bottle @ Meisterstück, Münich. BBE 09/2017. Pretty dark appearance for an IPA. Aroma has pine needles, resin, cereal, caramel and sweet malt. Flavour has resiny tones, fruity hops, resin and caramel. Nice but a bit straightforward.

Draught @ Meisterstück, Münich. Aroma is odd and musty with herbal tones. A bit foamy palate. Flavour has herbal tones, some minerals and malt. Easy-going but then again a bit mellow. Not the most typical helles.

Bottle at the brewpub, 15/07/17. Dark mahogany brown with a well appointed light khaki head that retains well. Nose is coffee grinds, spice, cocoa nibs, dark toffee fudge. Taste comprises charr, mellow roast, coffee grinds, cocoa beans, toffee. Medium bodied plus, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid coffee driven stout ... well balanced and drinks below the ABV.

Bottle at the brewpub, 15/07/17. Hazed golden yellow with a decent off white cap. Nose is melon, tangerine, papaya, sweet malts. Taste comprises orange peel, melon, toasted bread, grains, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop splash. Decent refresher.

Taste comprises orange peel, straw, light herbal notes, floral, tangerine, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close witha light hop wash. Decent refresher.
