Sampled @ BKL 2018. A hazy dark amber beer with a small beige head. Aroma of sweet vanilla, oak, strong reddish fruits. Taste of sweet strong reddish malt, vanilla, oak. Okay.

Tap. Hazy amber color with eggshell head. Aroma is barrel, caramel. Taste is wood, barrel sugar, caramel, nice bitterness in the back. Velvety mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Balanced and good!

On tap at Taphouse München. Near black with a lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma with licorice and coffee. Sweet roasted flavour with licorice and a touch of smoke.

On tap at Braukunst Live. Hazy pale golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of bready malt, herbal hops and plenty DMS. Sweetish malty flavour with herbal hops, DMS, a touch of cellar and yeast and a rather bitter finish.

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Pours clear golden with a decent head. Aroma is tropical fruit, passion fruit, some pine and forest floor. Body is medium, with a decent residual sweetness, lingering bitterness, pine needles, resin, low fruitiness. Lingering sweet & bitter palate. Straightforward no bullshit IPA. Good.

Pours clear amber, pillowy white, average sized head. Medium high to high retention. Smell is mild malty, rather thick, somewhat sweet ( bready, )very gently tho. Taste is more intense, with a nice, bready, crunchy , mild ambermalty base, some minor bitterness balancing out the beer, rather dry, yet still a tad malty, finish. A very nice drinking beer indeed.

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Pours brown with a tall off-white head. Aroma is smoke, lots of malt, wood, chocolate. Body is heavy, quite sweet, with a soft smoke and a lot of chocolate. Low bitterness, getting more towards the palate. Bread crust, some burnt wood, smoke. Sweet palate, but not incredibly long. Good!
