Description
The Brewery was founded in 1367. The brewery has been family-owned since 1879. The owners still maintain the old brewing tradition and the warm hospitality of the Carmelite monastery. The lively mix of yesterday and today, old and new, is increasingly being demanded and valued beyond the borders of our homeland. Carefully selected raw materials, old recipes and the best possible maturation times are the basis for the excellent taste and digestibility of our beer specialties. A high level of craftsmanship and the use of the latest technology guarantee the consistently high quality.

How near, or how far? Well, I’m saddened to see so few reviews of this brew.... after all, I found it in a 330ml bottle in Paris, hardly the German Beer Capital of the world! So, how near, or how far.... it pours with a solid head, average golden body. Aroma is of grains, perhaps cereals (meaning the "grains" per se have been diversified), but subtle. The taste - the taste! It’s like a non-alcoholic brew, some barley and malts and cereals, as if the thing had no alcohol! But yet, with over five percent of its volume as alcohol, we know that something is up! Yes, this product is all over the place - it may be "bio" but it lacks a reason to be so. I’m not convinced of its placement in this universe. But I will, despite all odds, still finish the bottle.
