(Thanks, Jim! Ozzy70) Can. A- Caramel, slightly nutty. A- Copper brown color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, fruitcake, honey, brown sugar. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly sweet finish. O- Everything I've had from Schell has been equally as tasty as anything I've had in Germany. They just do classic very well.

Rating 7,000. As a milestone beer it is hard not to be sad entering this as I see what has become of Ratebeer, a site from which I have had tremendous enjoyment over almost twenty years. In any event, black beer, low, but not altogether missing carbonation. No head however. Aroma of alcohol is prominent but the flavor has more complexity. Flavor of port, dried fruit, red wine, and alcohol are here as well as some bourbon, and with it vanilla and oak.
