Bottle/Fest. A- Caramel, malty, slightly sweet. A- Amber color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, malty, sweet, mild grains. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- A no frills beer that does the style justice. Very drinkable even if it's not a hot new craze type of beer. Perhaps a touch on the sweet side but not bad at all.

Can/Fest. A- Bubblegum, banana. A- Yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Banana, bubblegum. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Banana and bubblegum are the prevalent flavors. A touch of clove and wheat as well. Really good take on the style. Schell continues to impress me with their no nonsense traditional approaches. As good as any Hefe I've had in Germany.

this was thin and watery. Very disappoiting and not as good as the original. Light malt and caramel flavor, not picking up the smoke at all.

the aroma has a little bourbon but it is not overwhelming. A thin head on top. Light bourbon in the flavor, a little plum, and then it is done. Flavor and palate are on the light side.

Sample size. Orange color and a little haze. A thin head on top. Lightly sour and passionfruit. This was good, lots of tart fruit flavor.
Earlier Rating: 8/21/2019 Total Score: 2.9
Sample size. hazy orange color. lightly sweet, and lightly tart. kind of a strange beer, a little dry in the finish. one of the lesser beer from the Starkeller.

Bottled 2016, also fast 3 Jahre. Optisch medium gold, in der Nase Sekt, Trauben. Wenig Perlung. Im Trunk frisch, Äpfel, fast Cider, nahezu süffig, so gut wie garnicht tartig. Die Lagerung hat die Weiße anscheinend gut verblendet. Astreiner Sommertrunk.
