Slight gushing, not that usual for a lager. Pours almost black with a small off-white head that shows good retention and lacing. Strong but not too refined aroma: sweet caramel malts (borderlining burnt caramel), strong coffee, chocolate. Compared to aroma, taste is a bit washed down. Again: roasted malts, coffee, caramel and light chocolate. Medium to high sweetness and low to medium bitterness, overall on the sweet side in both taste and aftertaste, but not overwhelmingly so. Slight warming feeling. Medium body, very low carbonation (probably wasn't meant), feels to thin for style and does not support the taste. An atypical doppelbock. Possibly interesting, but this had significant flows.

Bottle, many thanks pivnizub! Clear brown color with white head. Aroma is a bit oxidized, raisins. Taste is oxidized, yeasty, dough. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Meh.

Bottle picked up Edeka Getrankemartkt, Zolling and consumed at home, Wednesday 7th October 2020 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music and cooking a Sausage Casserole with Mash. Pours pale gold with a large frothy head of foam. Lovely soft mouthfeel, some ripe banana, nice wheatiness, a hint of citrus but above all very, very easy drinking and drinkable.

Flascherl (250ml): Very deep ruby-amber coloured, small and stable off-white head, moderate sweet caramelly and dark malty/toasty aroma with traces of dried berries; moderate to solid sweet flavour, a light bitterness is detectable, medium to full bodied, pretty soft; lingering sweet dark-malty finish with some bitter-chocolatey spots. Well made, well drinkable Doppelbock...

On tap at Sheridan's Irish Pub, Zagreb. Clear golden, small off-white head. Soft grainy and floral aroma, slightly sugary. Thin. Moderate carbonation, abrupt finish. Grainy flavour, quite bland and boring with no major flows in terms of off-flavours.

On tap at Sheridan's Irish Pub, Zagreb. Dark brown, ochre to reddish tint, medium creamy tan head. Caramel, brown sugar and floral aroma. A touch of nutty, toasty and coca. Rounded up with a nice dark malty touch, although there's a hint of corn in there. A bit tart, not too sweet, some toasty background notes, dry finish. Smooth, light body, soft carbonation. After a while a sugary plastic sweetness appears, not so pleasant. Overally nice.
