Description
Pössneck is a city with a rich brewing tradition. In the 16th century, the beer was exported to cities such as Weimar. The brewery 'bei der Rosenmühle' was built between 1863 and 1866. In 1895 Richard Wagner became the full owner of the brewery. The Wagner family ran the brewery until 1950 when it was nationalized.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the great-grandson Nikolaus Wagner of the founder Richard Wagner was able to take over the Pößneck brewery again as manager and continue the family tradition, which has now lasted 130 years.

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly sweet, moderately roasted malt aroma with a touch of marzipan. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Slightly ashy, slightly roasted dark malty taste, medium-dry finish with a light roasty bitterness and shy traces of hops. Average.
