Description
Grand Teton Brewing is committed to crafting only the highest quality ales and lagers. We take measures at every point in our brewing, packaging and shipping process to ensure that we deliver only the best beers to you. Our Quality Manager performs multiple tests of every batch at every stage and conducts daily tastings of our finished brews to guarantee that only the best possible beers make the journey from our brewery to your glass.

We believe that Teton Valley, Idaho is the best place on earth to craft beer. Our water is glacial run-off, filtered over 300-500 years by Teton Mountain granite and limestone before it surfaces at a spring a half mile from the brewery. Teton Valley grows the world’s best malting barley, and Southern Idaho includes some of the finest hop farms in the world.

Bottle Pours a clear deep redish brown witha nice fine light tan head. Dark carmelized, brown sugar woody aroma. Flavor is very woody, grassy, and light roasted malts. Moderate carbonation and a nice creamy smooth feel. Palate is also a bit chalky and unfliterd tasting. The lingering bitterness is more of the astringent, tannin tree bark than of hops. A bit off for me.

Sampled at kp’s Cellar Party. Pours black with a thin head. Roast malt, caramel and a touch of smoke. The flavor thins out a bit from what I expected from the aroma. Too much over-roasted malt flavors with a sweet/bitter finish.

Dark copper color with a nice sized tan head. Aroma is a subtle maltiness with some hops. Taste is also matly with a nice hop kick, caramel, and roastiness. Definitely not too sweet, very nice balance of flavors in an amber ale.

A little on the grainy side, with some hops present and a dry finish. Not exactly what I expected. Also had a sour tone to the finish. The first beer from Grand Teton that has been subpar.

Nice blonde color with a small white head. Taste is light with maltiness, some citrus, and a subtle hoppiness. Has hints of an ipa, but much lighter. Great summer beer.

Clear amber color with a small white head. Aroma is piney and filled with citrus and hops. Taste is sweet and sour from the citrus tones, light malts, and hops. Finish was a smooth, but a little lacking in the flavor department. I liked the brew, but it could have been better with a stronger hops finish.

Bottle (2005) sampled 05/2006: Dark pour of blackish brown with a small brown head. Aroma is smooth with tones of coffee and malts. Taste is packed with chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, and bittersweetness. Rich and full bodied brew. Update with 2007 batch on draft: Huge black pour with nice large brown head. Nose is rich and sweet with mocha and roasty malt. Lots of cocoa and coffee flavors with a subtle smokiness and plenty of roast. I love the dark chocolate presence. Smooth and rich.

Nice dark reddish/rust color with a tan head. Tastes of caramels, roastiness, malts, and citrus tones. Hop presence wasnt too strong, but rather medium. Easy to drink and a tasty ESB.
