Aroma of pale malt with citrusy hop. It’s all kind of light. Amber gold color with a frothy white head that laces as it collapses. Thin to medium body with mild, almost creamy, carbonation. The flavor is mildly malty, with floral/citrus hop. The finish isn’t dry, but it isn’t sweet. Floral notes abound, and there is enough bitterness to satisfy. It’s really good stuff.

Bottle: Pours a muddy brownish red with no head and no lacing. Nose is light with earthy and malt tones. Tastes musty and earthy with a little malt accent and light spices. There is a little fruity sweetness, but the earthiness is a bit dominant.

1L Bottle pours a clear deep copper with barly a trace of a head even after a rather agressive pour. A few turpid swirls of the glass coaxes just enough to leave a few traces of lacing. Aroma is cidery and spicy. A bit soapy as well. Flavor is of old fallen cedar trees and musty earthy sweet over ripe apples and pears. A touch of cinnamon and again a litle detergent or soap. Very thin and light and way soft on the carbonation. Just cant get excited about yet another "cellar reserve" installment from a local brewer that just cant quite impress me.

Black with a disappearing off-white head. Roast aroma, some licorice, some molasses. Dry and roast flavour with some caramel. Very yummy beer - reminded me of Great Divide Yeti, but not quite up there.

Bottle @ Chris_o shindig 2007. Dark black color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark chocolate, light vanilla, english licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily / creamy, carbonation is soft to flat. Very nice and easy to drink ;o))

Bottled. Very dark brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, alcohol, toffee and coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, alcohol, coffee and dark chocolate. Alcohol burns nicely in the aftertaste.

Bottle at Chris_o Shindig. Black. Very intense, got some decent toffee from the barrel. Good intensity, nice liquorice. Good though.

Clear reddish amber body with a small off-white head. Sweet cherry aroma with some light sour and caramel. Sweet caramel flavor with some light cherry and a tart ending.
