Cask gravity at K&ES 2026. Black beer lasting tan head. Pretty decent. Somw nice juicy dark fruits. Some damson and dates. Yes a tasty stout. Good level of chocolate. Some dryness on finish. But its the dark fruit and nuttiness that works best. Good.

July 2007: 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Very dark reddish brown colour, nearly black. Large tan head. Very nice aroma of chocolate (reminds me of the Norwegian "Kong Haakon Konfekt"), roasted malts and coffee. The flavour is roasty and fruity with a moderate acidity. Notes of coffee, chocolate, prunes and liquorice. Relatively light bodied, but nice.

Cask handpull at The George Bethersden. A clear dark ale lasting beige head. Malty aroma with some milk chocolate aroma. Some rather good malty flavours. Light dark cherry flavour. Some bitterness on the finish. It's really tasty and a throw back of a beer.
