Cask at CBC St Giles, 10/09/15. Clear copper with a decent beige covering that retains well. Nose is biscuit, earthy hop, bitter orange, straw. Taste comprises biscuit malt, light perfume, straw, bitter fruits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light scattering of earthy hops in a bitter sun down. Decent bitter.

From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, light liqourice. Bitter, roasted dark malty. Bitter, toasted and dark malty. Dry and bitter far finish.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2014, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Rother Valley Black Ops ].Clear medium brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, chocolate notes, light roasted, light to moderate hoppy, pine. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet sugary, brown sugar, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140813]

5.5% Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2015. Clear amber lasting white head. It’s a decent strong premium bitter. Decent malt some sweetness and a good smack of hops on the finish. I liked it.

From cask. Pours clear and golden deep brown with a deep orange glare. Small tan to off whitte head. Aroma is roasted, light fruity. Bitter, toasted and light caramelish malty. Dry and bitter finish.

Craft Islington. Cask. Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and smooth. Mild fine carbonation. Floral bitterness and contrasting creamy sweetness. Bitterish dried fruits. Mild tangy citric hop. Smooth finish. Nicely balanced and pretty drinkable. Bitter floral linger.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington on 7th December 2014. Copper with thin off-white film and scant lacing. Rich, malty and pungent aroma. Richly hoppy in-mouth with super-savoury nutty kick. Nutty finish with savoury notes and grassy bitterness. Engaging texture and full body. Excellent!

Had this in cask at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks 10th September 2014 Pours light amber with white head. Quite a good bitter, the hops taste quite traditional but used well to produce a decent standard bitter, bit fruity, its fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
