Bottle from HoTM. It pours clear golden amber with a magnificent fluffy white head that lasts until the last drop - exceptional! The aroma is sweet upfront, baked goods, pastries, pain au raisin in particular, lovely vinous white wine vibes, sultana, touch of mixed peel, panettone, hay, dried floral vibes, preserved lemon, dry oak and some warming fortified wine. The taste is crisp, dry and snappy, nip of acidity upfront which dissipates, white grape, gooseberry, lemon - lime, fizzy cola bottles, sherbet, refreshers, the booze is there for sure but is well integrated, like booze soaked fruit cake, less Scottish style but more Italian (please refer to panbriacone), limoncelo, crunchy granny smith apple, raisin, sultana and dry oak with a dry, musty finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy, effervescent carbonation. Exquisite. So much depth. Lovely combo of sweet and sour. Can't believe such a high abv geuze works so very well. Love it.

750ml bottle. Cloudy, red colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Mild, fruity and slightly woody, mildly funky and minimally peppery spicy, yeasty aroma, notes of cherries, sweet cherries, some green and black pepper, oaky overtones. Taste is mildly tart, tangy, fruity, subtle residual sweetness, notes of cherry, sweet cherry, a citrusy touch of fruit acid, a lactic touch of sauerkraut as well, very light funky yeasty and peppery spicy, yeasty aspects with a touch of black pepper and mustard seed, all embedded into a slightly dry, woody, oaky framework; light sherbet touch here and there. Oily-watery texture, super-soft and smooth, simultaneously slightly dry and minimally astringent palate, very fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Very mild, harmonious, homogeneous - a Lambic after my fancy.
