Bottle. Pale golden color. Bready soft grassy flavor. Medium to full bodied. Just a hint of butter in the aftertaste. Hints of bread dough and butter in the aroma as the beer warms up. Very Franconian.

“Mager Dunkel“, vom Faß beim Mager in Pottenstein. - Kastanienrotbraun, klar.

Tiefe Malzigkeit, gut abgelagert, kräftig bittere herbal-krautige Hopfung. - Erstklassig, wie überhaupt alle Biere vom Mager. (21.8.2021: 3,4.)

(bottle) Clear, deep amber to copper colour with a beige and firm mid-sized foamy head. Slightly toasted malty aroma with present notes of caramel, a mildly bready touch and delicately herbal hops in the background. Moderately sweet and bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly mineralic toast-malty taste with caramel, bread and a mildly herbal-spicy hoppy blend; balanced and lasting bitter hoppy and toast-malty finish with caramel in the aftertaste. Solid. 10.VI.18
