Das Pils vom Mager, vom Faß im Brauereigasthof in Pottenstein. - Satt goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase aromatisch kräuteriger Hopfen. - Antrunk zart hellmalzig mit charakteristischer, kräuteriger Hopfung. Gut rezent, etwas dünn. Im Abgang nur milde Hopfenherbe. - Ein süddeutsches Pilsener, das statt kerniger Herbe milde aber ausgeprägte Hopfenaromen bei milder Restsüße bietet, aber etwas blaß daherkommt. (24.7.2018: 3,0.) Bei Wiederholung aus der Flasche (von Schmitt's Allerlei, Pottenstein) kerniger und aromatischer als ich es in Erinnerung hatte. Tiefe Malzigkeit, gut abgelagert, kräftig bittere herbal-krautige Hopfung. - Erstklassig, wie überhaupt alle Biere vom Mager. (21.8.2021: 3,4.)

(bottle) Clear, deep amber to copper colour with a beige and firm mid-sized foamy head. Slightly toasted malty aroma with present notes of caramel, a mildly bready touch and delicately herbal hops in the background. Moderately sweet and bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly mineralic toast-malty taste with caramel, bread and a mildly herbal-spicy hoppy blend; balanced and lasting bitter hoppy and toast-malty finish with caramel in the aftertaste. Clear gold. Aroma is cauliflower herbal hops slight butter. Taste is full bodied herbal hops with slight malty sweetness. Drinkable. Only aroma lacks a bit.

Darkest brown. Aroma is weet basement moss melasses slight sulfur and copper. Taste is metallic dark malt. Melasses. Brown sugar. Black bread finish. Ok.

Tap. Clear golden color with creamy white head. Aroma is cereals, grassy, grainy, a touch vegetal. Taste is grainy, juicy fruits, again a touch vegetal. Oily mouthfeel with quite foamy carbonation. Not great.

Tap. Clear brown color with ruby highlight and a creamy off-white head with huge carbonation visible. Aroma is chocolate, earthy. Taste is chocolate, earthy, nutty, medium sweet. Oily mouthfeel with spritzy carbonation. Tasty enough.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges. Slightly earthy aroma with notes of aniseed and chocolate. Liquorice, raisins, coffee and some earthy notes in the taste.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark chestnut colour with average, fluffy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Grainy, slightly roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of spelt, a touch of chocolate and cocoa. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty, chalky; a bit thin and monotonous.

Euro-Fläschla (Diky mockrát, jsem nadšen!): A bit unclear, light amber coloured with a reddish sheen, bigger loose 'n stable off-white head, pretty slowly collapsing; mild to moderate malty-toasty nose with a certain fruitiness ( not caused by infection),earthy hops in the background; mild to moderate - as well - bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, quite soft; lingering malty and earthy finish.
