Die Brauerei Schwarzer Adler, von der uns noch unser Wappentier erhalten ist, hat sich im Laufe der Zeit zur Brauerei Eichhorn entwickelt. Unsere Familie hat sich der handwerklichen Brautradition verschrieben, und wir stellen mit modernster Brautechnik in aller Ruhe ausgereifte Biere nach dem bayerischen Reinheitsgebot von 1516 her. Und daran wird sich auch in Zukunft nichts ändern.

Bottle 50cl. @home poured into a glass tankard. Smoked nose. Clear medium golden colour, tall loose moussy white to off-white head, good retention, patchy lacing. Aroma smoked malts, smoked sausage, burnt wood, herbal notes. Mild smoky taste, medium sweet and light bitter, malty, light caramel, smoked sausage, burnt wood, candy sugar, spicy notes, retronasel smokiness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, mildly smoked sweetbitter aftertaste, malty notes, peppery on the tongue, good!

Von der Farbgebung des Etiketts hatte ich (fälschlicher Weise) auf ein dunkles Weizen geschlossen. Herb fruchtig, Malz, floral, Kräuter, minimal „milchig“ (noch nicht „buttrig“). Interessante Aromatik. Gut. Könnte mir aber vorstellen, dass das nicht jedem, an jeden Tag schmeckt. Am richtigen Tag, in der richtigen Stimmung ist das aber durchaus ein richtiger Kracher.
