Description
Established in 2014, owner Seamus McMahon has set up a lovely brewery in one of the old sheds, located behind the milking parlour. This brewery is set up on a working Dairy Farm. The team have renovated the shed to exacting specifications. The brewery is set amongst the rolling drumlins of County Monaghan. Our aim is to create distinct beers that are brewed with care and affection. We have created a range of well balanced and flavoursome ales that reflect the changing face of the beer market in Ireland.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Earthy aroma with burnt malt, caramel, wood, charred notes, dried fruits, syrup, nuts. Medium sweet with a fairly firm bittersweet finish. Not picking up a lot of bourbon, but surely plenty of wood. Above medium body. Very nice.

Black with a medium tall, creamy tan head. Chocolate, roasted notes, sour milk, dark fruit, black coffee, a touch of molasses in the aroma. Full body without being thick or heavy. Cafe mocha up from with bitter notes, black patent malt, a touch burnt, dark chocolate, and earthy notes. This is a superb beer. Each sip is full of complexity yet comfort. Lovely.

Dark roasted malty aroma and taste, notes of liquorice and chocolate, some spice, dark caramel, subtle hoppy undertones, medium plus body, some vanilla and whisky washed wooden accents into the dry roasted malty finish. Good stuff.
