Description
The Schlossbrauerei Ellingen with its fine beer specialties has been around since 1690. Experience a piece of our long-standing brewing history with every sip. What makes our beers so unique? FÜRST CARL beers are still brewed by hand in the traditional way in the copper brewhouse of the historic brewery. Our raw materials are natural and come from Ellingen and the region: water from our own well, hops and malt from Ellingen and Franconia. We only brew what we are good at: Franconian beer specialties!
Our family, the princes of Wrede and the team of FÜRST CARL stand behind what we do: first-class beers.

Bottle from Jonas, thanks! Hazy gold, nice dense head, spicy-malty grain aroma. Fresh hay and sweet barley on the tongue. Very refreshing with a nice earthy bitterness.

Brown with a white head that soon turns thin and whispy. Aroma of mixed grains, caramel, very faint berry notes. Taste is surprisingly bitter the whole way through, finishing full of grains and a touch of buttery sweetness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation but slightly above average for the style. Okay.

Bottled, from Biershop Bayern. Clear golden, rocky head. Distinct grassy, spicy nose. Dry with firm, crisp mouthfeel and medium body. Lots of grassy, floral hops over a crisp, bready malt backbone. Long, really bitter finish. Superb, really hoppy pils!
