Description
Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, with three locations in St. Louis, is an unconventional-minded yet tradition-oriented brewer of craft beer. We like to call our unique brewing philosophy Beer Divergency - a 'new world meets old world' brewing approach wherein UCBC contributes to the 'revolution' of craft beer with artisanal creations of modern American beers, and pays 'reverence' to the heritage of beer with classically-crafted offerings of timeless European beer styles.

Pour is a cloudy golden with a large fizzy white head. Aroma is not half bad. More of a white bread pils malt. Flavor is more clean bready malt and very watery. It has more body then the average macro so it's got that going for it. 19.5 oz can bought for $2 at the mega gas station.

16 oz plastic glass draft at the UCBC Flight Bar in the St. Louis, Missouri airport. The pour is a clear brown amber with a small off white head. The aroma is rich malty along with nuttiness and a hint of grassy earthy hop towards the back. The taste is a nice clean blend of the malty nuttiness and soft grass and earth. The palate is medium bodied with softer natural carbonation and the clean malty finish. Tasty, easy drinking Amber/Dunkel kind of thing.

Bottle at the 'Back to the Roots Classic German Beer Tasting' session. I only took numerical notes while having this.

Aroma is grassy, biscuity, lemony. Taste has a light bready malt sweetness backed by mild building to moderate bitterness. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Loads of character compared to a mass market light beer.

Aromas are malt, wet grain, herbal and floral. Flavors are similar to nose, bittersweet, with good carbonation. A bit sweeter than the German pilsners I've had. Still pretty good, clean, satisfying and refreshing.

Aromas are malt, dry grain, lumber and a bit of funk. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, on the sweet side, with some bitter and decent carbonation to balance. Body is a tad full. Good but not great.

From tap at Tap House Munich - Camba Bavaria. Aroma of fruits, peach, oak, hint of funk. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate sour. Very fruity with plenty of peach. Enjoyable.
