Slightly hazy amber coloured body with a medium-sized dense (not nitrogenated) tan head. Aroma of metal, stale malt, english hops and cardboard-not really a bitter in the aroma to me. Light-bodied; Mild fruity flavours hit the tastebuds up front then settling down to a very subtle maltiness followed by a tiny bit of english hops. Not a long-lasting beer in the palate, but decent enough for a bitter. Overall, I'd take many more bitters over this one, but to be honest, I was glad to try this...I don't think its available in the states. I bought this 500 mL can at the LCBO in Toronto, Canada (Queen's Quay) and sampled it on 17-April-2004.

Bottled. Amber colour, rich head. Vaguely malty. Clean and rounded. Despite it's low ABV it is not overly thin, but not really that flavourful either. Low bitterness.

This is one of the first bitter that I drank. Pourred an amber brew with a nice foamy head on top of it. Taste is bitter (would have expected more bitterness) and a little bit fruity. No spice are overly detectable. Would be curious to try some more bitter. Would drink this again...

[Cask at Birkbeck Tavern] An amber beer with a small foamy and disappearing head. The aroma is very slight. The flavor is rather sweet, turning OK bitter, but missing a little palate. An average Ale.

The aroma is sweet and hoppy. The color is amber and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is a little light, but malty and pretty hoppy. It was somewhat flat even though I had it from a bottle. The malt blend tasted weird on my tastebuds.

Rerate, cask at the Station Hotel, Ipswich: Aroma of English malt vinegar, hints of dishwasher liquid. Smooth flavour without too much character. Low on hops.
Original rating, 3.1: (Draught). I remember this one as a decent standard bitter, nothing remarkable.

An amber beer with a good head. The aroma is very slight - but it contains a slight fruit note. The falvor is very soft - with a good bitterness, that hits You at once but it also has a nice sweetness. A really good bitter.

[Hand pumped, in England] Amber color. Poor aroma, pretty sweet but with a really enjoyable freshness, and quite bitter final. Basic Bitter, on the simple side, but enjoyable.
