Another lost review quickly redone. Ab bg malty Doppelbock with added dark fruit sweetness. This applies to aroma and flava. Opaque mahogany. Thin foamy off-white head. Medium bodied and oily. Soft-average carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Warming but a tad too sweet for my tastes.

The brethren provideth. Opaque gold. Foamy white head doesn't quite provide full coverage. Aroma is malty, yeasty. Vinous edge is smooth. Tangy. The NZ hops shine through, alongside the barrel. Tangy and fruity and vinous. Herbs and spice. Underlying fruity sweetness and malts. Light. Thin. Bouyed by soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Pleasent east drinking with a bite.

Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Pours murky yellow brown with a thin white head. Aromas of creamy vanilla and wood. Taste is creamy almond going into red wine barrel woodiness. Dry, lightly woody finish.
