On tap (Greifenklau, Bamberg): deep golden, smaller, lacy persistent head, restrained grainy-malty nose, moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; grainy finish with some hoppyness in the aftertaste. Not superb, but good session Bock.........

On tap at the brewpub, 7/11/07. Deep golden coloured with a decent foamy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, hay and some grassy hops. Flavour was malty with some red fruit and marmalade and a dry finish. Very enjoyable.

Light copper golden color, good creamy off-white head. Rye-bread-malty nose. Rye, blackcurrant and grassy hops in the flavor. Medium-bodied. Some way personal but among Bamberg lagers, this is not among the best of them.

Hazy yellow color, good creamy white head. Banana nose. Bubblegum and overriped banana flavors. Sweetish weizen , quite well-builded but simple craft beer.

Draft. An amber beer with a thick collapsing head. The aroma is sweet and grainy with a light note of yeast. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to an OK bitter hoppy finish with a hint of metal. The body is a bit thin.

Draft at the brewery. An unclear ornage beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with light notes of banana. The flavor is sweet citrusy and wheaty with light notes of banana. I find it a bit boring.

(On tap) Beautiful, clear fully golden with a creamy, off-white head. Somewhat unclean, malty and fruity nose - reminds me of Danish microbrewed ales!! Medium body, light caramel notes with a rather hoppy finish. 071106
