(bottle) Clear and pale amber colour with a short foamy white head. Malty and fruity nose. Grainy malty taste with a roasted touch. Crispy, slightly hopbitter finish. Good one !

Bottle (bought at Vroni’s): Straw golden, hazy thin but lasting white foamy layer; floral hoppy nose with a tinge of grains; sweet soft start; creamy texture, light to medium bodied; quite fizzy; moderate bitter flavour ending in a quite aromatic bitter aftertaste: Much better than many of the northern german competitors...........

Bottled: Golden coloured, medium sized, fluffy white head, lasting; fruity (grainy) nose with a tinge of maltiness; fruity-malty beginning, malty flavour ending in a short moderately bitter finish; quite fizzy. O.K., but not great.....

Sampled at Greifenklau, this was one of the last beers of a long day, I might have had difficulties appreciating it fully. Wellagerd and not verry cloudy - looked like a helles. Honeyish malt malt topped off with a ok bitterness. Plain, and as Mads says pretty much the standard in Bamberg.

Sampled at Greifenklau Mainly clove in the aroma. Cloudy dark yellow, low but stable head. Wheaty and spicy flavors, marcipan aftertaste. Fizzing mouthfeel and a bready aftertaste. The glass is very nice, but I did not buy one :-)

Malt nose. Golden, head dissipates too fast. Definetly a solid malt base, rich and broad, only a small whiff of fizzing bitterhops in the nose when exhaling. The aftertaste is gone rather fast.

Ceramic mug. Herbal-hoppy aroma is fresh. Rich hoppy palate has a slightly fruity character. Good example with nice balance, good hop and admirable finishing dryness.
