Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.
We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!
Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!
Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Can. Pours near cloudy yellow, medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is very Citra-forward, dank, pot, passionfruit, some chives and diesel. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter. Juicy, no harshness. What I love about the Citra hop embodied in a can. Medium body, minimal heat. Dangerously good.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated July 15, 2024. Aroma is hop forward and fruity with white wine notes of green grapes, stone fruit, gooseberries and passion fruit. Hints of dank, oily resin. Light bready grain notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a clear, yellow straw color with a medium.sized, thick, frothy, white head that recedes quickly to the edges and disappears. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light bready grain notes. Medium low bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong hop notes of green grapes, passion fruit, gooseberry, stone fruit and hints of citrus and dank, resin notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied and somewhat crisp with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid IPA. A bit sweeter than I was expecting, but it still finishes fairly crisp and has a fairly light body. Really nice hop flavors and aroma with a bouquet similar to a white wine. Balanced bitterness and alcohol notes. Malt body is flavorful but very light.

16 oz. can, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has bright piney hops, plenty of tropical notes, and just enough biscuity malt. Flavour is very bright, with lots of bright piney hops, gentle tropical notes, melon, and a crisp biscuity malt. Piney, gently tropical, with a crisp, nicely bitter finish. Excellent.
