Description
Fonta Flora Brewery integrates the soul of agriculture with the artisanship of zymurgy to create a menagerie of rustic and savory libations. With an emphasis on seasonal flora, Fonta Flora brings English tradition and Belgian inspiration to the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina.

Fonta Flora utilizes local artists to help conceptualize the notion that fermentation is yet another medium for creating art. This uniquely artisan approach to beer yields a sustainable product filled with culture from our very own community.

A lot of dark fruits and caramel, very deep and bold. American oak. Taste is along the same lines, moderately sweet with some light dark fruits tartness. Very nice!

0,355l bottle from Drikbeer advent calendar, #18. Clear dark yellow beer with small head. Aroma is sour fruits, funky, honey and herbs. Flavor follows with lemon and grass. Tart and funky, good.

Wine bottle from 604. Sat in the cellar for a couple months while the whole hurricane thing happened. No born on date but was new when I grabbed it. Pint glass at home. Pretty, dark amber cascade. Clear with a fluffy oatmeal head. Second pour is a bit jellied. Spiced cola & bright nose of berry jam. Twangy, borderline sour red fruit, moderately astringent lemon tea. Very slight oxidation on the very tail. Frothy, small bubbles, nice acid, probably too sour for what it wanted to achieve. Good.

16 oz. can, shared from Timmy. Pours a clear, orange color, with a small, foamy, off-white head. The nose is ginger, sweet potato, wet grass, caramel, and straw. Dry and savory, with a light, grassy bitterness. Medium body, sharp, and sticky. Pretty nice, spicy and clean.

16 oz. can, thanks to Timmy! Pours black, with a small, bubbly, dark brown head. The aroma is anise, harsh coffee, toffee, pecan, and caraway. Sweet and malty, with a mellow, earthy bitterness. Thick, syrupy, and chewy. Fun, savory, and quite interesting.

16 oz can received in a trade with Tom, thanks. The very Last time I have to type that! Aroma is mild roast them all and chocolate nuances. I want to have chocolate and caramel, but I’m having a real hard time finding apples. Bodies a touch thin but it drinks ok.
