Draft - Anise, dark roast, vomit and molasses. Jet black brown with a decent light brown head. Chocolate and a nice almost caramel like bitterness. Sweet, bitter, chocolate and balance. Great beer.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Big Wood 2014, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out spicy notes, some dry cocoa, and more spice. Flavour is much nicer, with loads of chocolate dominating, with subdued secondary notes of roast. Not really getting much of the barrels here. Very complex and flavourful, maintaining balance. Excellent stuff.

Sampler at the brewery. I AM JUST SO BORED WITH THESE BEERS. Every hop-centric beer is like the one before, just check any other hop-centric beer and its basically the same. This is the one place that a porter or hefe is the most original style of beer.

Sampler at the brewery, marker notes. Slightly hazy golden color. As the other beers, its clean and hopcentric, the hops are "green" and low resin. Its fine stuff but just so dull.

Sampler at brewery, twice actually. Notes written on paper with colored marker b/c my phone was low on battery. Hazy golden color, lots of lacing. Clean, mildly bitter aroma. Dry and bitter general hops is the basic element of the beer. Like many of the other beers, its clean an hop-centric. Just not my favorite hop flavor.
